Challenge:
Ultra Australia, part of the global Ultra Music Festival brand, involved managing film crews across two major locations: the Gold Coast for Ultra Beach and Melbourne for the full-scale ‘Ultra Australia’ festival. Our challenge was to capture the electrifying atmosphere and monumental performances, while delivering high-quality photo and video content during the festival weekend to be shared in real-time on social media. Coordinating teams across two cities and maintaining consistent output under tight deadlines required strategic planning and efficient execution.
Goal:
Our primary objective was to capture the energy and spirit of both Ultra Beach and Ultra Australia through dynamic photo and video content. We aimed to create visually impactful material that resonated with festival-goers and followers of the Ultra brand worldwide. The content needed to be delivered promptly to maintain live social media engagement, creating buzz and excitement during the festival weekend.
Solution:
Pre-Production & Coordination:
Before the event, we planned meticulously, liaising with festival organisers to ensure we captured key performances and crowd moments. This involved setting up multiple filming points across both venues to cover a wide range of angles, performances, and audience interactions.
Live Event Coverage:
Our film crew utilised top-of-the-line camera equipment to capture live moments from both locations. For Ultra Beach on the Gold Coast, we focused on the intimate, beachside atmosphere, while in Melbourne, we emphasised the large-scale, high-energy performances. Throughout the weekend, our team worked seamlessly to produce and deliver content in real-time, allowing for instant social media posting to engage with fans.
Post-Production:
After each day of filming, our team swiftly edited the footage to ensure it was ready for immediate upload on social media platforms. The quick turnaround enabled Ultra Australia to maintain a strong online presence, boosting engagement and amplifying the festival’s reach across digital platforms.

The photos and videos delivered over the festival weekend garnered significant attention on social media, capturing the energy of Ultra Australia and Ultra Beach.
